Training is one of the most critical aspects of entering into a franchise agreement. We are committed to providing you and your staff the thorough training needed to ensure the greatest chance for success. The following are the steps in our process to get you ready to own your own indoor playground.
- 4 day mutual evaluation weekend in Milwaukee
Spend a busy weekend with one of the owners to evaluate the business, the job responsibilities and get a sense of what it takes to own a The Big Backyard franchise. This evaluation weekend will also provide us with the opportunity to ensure you are a good candidate for an owner of The Big Backyard. - 4 hour site selection and space design conference call
The first step in opening the business is finding the right location. We will discuss how to work with a real estate agent, types of locations to evaluate, and space design. - Weekly Start-up Conference Calls
Once a week at a mutually agreed upon day and time, we will discuss your progress towards opening, starting with site selection and working all the way through grand opening - 4 day business planning training (can be done over the phone)
Takes place within week of signing the franchise agreement
Well walk through what to look for in a location, how to begin the build out process, working with the bank, your municipality, landlord, contractors, and beginning the process of purchasing equipment and supplies. - 2 3 days operations training in Milwaukee
Takes place 3 4 months before opening
Shadow the owners and learn the ins and outs of all the information laid out in this operations manual. Have an opportunity to ask questions and see first hand all that goes into the daily operations of the business. - Quarterly conference calls
Scheduled with all the franchise owners to discuss successes, lessons learned, and have an opportunity for questions/feedback.
Throughout the entire build out process and operation of your site, we will be available to answer questions, help make decisions and consult with you. We want you to feel as if you are in business for yourself but not by yourself.
